VoLTE and VoWiFi, what’s that?!

Do you know that feeling too? You're in the middle of an important conversation and you hear "sorry, the connection is really bad, can you say that again?". Dreadfully annoying. But luckily, VoLTE and VoWiFi are here to save the day!

💬 VoLTE, the hero away from home
VoLTE, or Voice over LTE is making calls over your 4G or 5G connection. And, to top it all off? It doesn't cost you anything extra at all. In other words, you won't devour your data bundle. Activating it is free, and you simply keep calling as you always have, except now it will be in HD! That means crisp sound, stable connections and faster contact with your family and friends. Who wouldn't want that?!

Thanks to the stable 4G and 5G network coverage throughout Belgium, you can use VoLTE in every corner of the country. From vibrant cities to remote villages: you are always able to make calls over your mobile data network. Even your apps that run on data, such as Waze for example, can simply remain active thanks to VoLTE. So, no more panicking while you're making hands-free calls in the car and the GPS on your phone is on, because it can keep updating. And you'll still know where to go. 🥹

📶 VoWiFi, the hero at home
BUT there is more! Alongside VoLTE, there's also VoWiFi; which allows you to use your wifi connection to make calls. So just imagine, you're stuck in a dusty archive cellar with no mobile coverage or your house is a bit too well insulated, not to worry, because you'll just stay accessible via the available Wi-Fi network. 😌

Doubting if you need to use VoLTE or VoWiFi? Well, the answer is zero stress. Your smart smartphone takes care of that for you. It automatically switches between the two connections and prioritises mobile data. Has your 4G or 5G failed for a moment? Then your smartphone will effortlessly switch to WiFi. As soon as 4G or 5G is available again, it simply switches back.
