Prefer to use your own hardware? That’s possible, but we can’t guarantee everything will work correctly or securely. In some cases, a faulty installation might result in it not working at all. In that case, you are fully responsible for any potential damage.

Using your own hardware
The choice is yours: the Mobile Vikings modem or your own hardware for your internet at home.

You can choose which hardware you use for your internet at home: Mobile Vikings’ equipment or your own. In concrete terms, this means that you can purchase all the devices we normally provide for fixed internet use (modem, ONT box, router, etc.) yourself.

Getting started with your own hardware
To successfully install your own ONT, we first need to register it. Please contact our helpdesk to complete the registration process. Then, continue with your installation by following these steps:

Carefully read the manufacturer’s manual and follow the instructions - installation may vary depending on the device.

Keep your Mobile Vikings hardware in a safe place: if any issues ever occur on your line, we’ll ask you to reconnect our equipment. Our helpdesk heroes can’t know every device on the market, so unfortunately we can’t offer support for third-party hardware in case of problems.

If you're using your own hardware, we can't guarantee that everything will always work correctly and securely. In case of an incorrect installation, your internet connection might even stop working entirely.

As a new Viking, you’ll automatically receive our hardware during the installation. The technician will always install Mobile Vikings equipment first - after that, you’re free to switch to your own hardware if you prefer. It’s important to keep our equipment safe and in good condition. If there’s ever a problem with your connection, we’ll ask you to reconnect our hardware so we can check if everything is working properly and help you further if needed.
