How do you change your Wi-Fi name and password?

Time for a Wi-Fi makeover? Give your network a new name or set a stronger password to boost security and personalize your connection.

Change your password or name

    Log in with the username (User) and password (Password) listed on the sticker on the back of your modem.

    Click the gear icon next to Wi-Fi 5 GHz or Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz.

    Change the name (SSID) and/or password of your Wi-Fi network and click OK.

    Choose a strong, secure password and preferably save it in a digital password manager (e.g. Bitwarden or LastPass).

    Note: Devices that were already connected to your Wi-Fi will need to reconnect using the new credentials.

Changing your Wi-Fi password is easy via your My Viking account.

Under ‘Internet at home’, simply click the pencil icon next to ‘Wi-Fi name’ and choose a new name for your network.

You can also change your Wi-Fi password just as easily through your My Viking account. Go to ‘Internet at home’, click the pencil icon next to ‘Wi-Fi name’, and update it to your preferred network name.
