Activate and/or switch network

This is how you can easily activate or switch your network.

iOS

  1. 1

    Go to the Start screen.

    Choose Settings.

  3. 3

    Choose Mobile Service.

  4. 4

    Choose Mobile Data Options.

  5. 5

    Choose Voice & Data.

  6. 6

    Choose 5G Auto or another option.

Android

  1. 1

    Go to the Start screen.

    Choose Settings.

  3. 3

    Choose Connections.

  4. 4

    Choose Mobile networks.

    Choose an option, in this case, Network mode SIM 1.

    Choose 5G preferred or another option.

    Choose Mobile networks.

    Choose an option, in this case, Network mode SIM 1.

    Choose 5G preferred or another option.

    Go to the Start screen and choose Settings.

    Choose Network and Internet.

    Choose SIMs.

    Choose SIM.

    Scroll down and choose Preferred network type.

  6. 6

    Tick 5G (recommended).

Select network

When you are abroad, your device will automatically connect to one of our partner networks. This is called roaming. We recommend keeping network selection set to automatic. In Belgium, your device connects by default to the Proximus network.

iOS

    Go to the Start screen and choose Settings.

    Choose Mobile Service.

  3. 3

    Choose Network Selection.

    Disable Automatic.

    The Apple iPhone is now searching for available networks.

    Choose the desired network.

Android

    Go to the Start screen and choose Settings.

  2. 2

    Choose Connections.

  3. 3

    Choose Mobile networks.

  4. 4

    Choose Network operators.

  5. 5

    Choose a SIM card, in this case, SIM 1.

  6. 6

    Disable Select automatically.

  7. 7

    The Samsung Galaxy is now searching for available networks.

  8. 8

    Choose the desired network.

    Go to the Start screen and choose Settings.

    Choose Mobile networks.

  3. 3

    Choose a SIM card, in this case, SIM 1.

  4. 4

    Choose Select carrier.

  5. 5

    Disable Automatically select network.

  6. 6

    Choose Next.

  7. 7

    Choose OK.

    Choose OK.

    The Xiaomi phone is now searching for available networks.

    Choose the desired network.

    Go to the Start screen and choose Settings.

    Choose Network and Internet.

    Choose SIMs.

    Choose SIM.

    Disable Automatically select network.

    The Google Pixel is now searching for available networks.
