# Manage your mobile price plan

Managing your mobile price plan has never been easier.

## Surfing, calling, or texting. A bundle for everyone.

### Type of bundles

At Mobile Vikings, you can have call, SMS, and data bundles. With a **prepaid card**, you decide when to activate a monthly bundle and how much you spend, perfect if you want flexibility. Prefer automatic monthly renewals? Then a **subscription** is your best choice, so you can call, text, and surf worry-free every month.

### When are my bundles renewed?

Your bundle renews on the same day every month. Is your bundle used up and you don’t want to wait? You can manually activate a new bundle via the website or app. It will start immediately, and from then on, your bundle will renew monthly on that new date.

### My bundle abroad

**Within the EU**, you can call and text Belgian numbers without additional roaming charges.

**Outside the EU**, your data bundle cannot be used. Mobile data is automatically blocked to avoid unexpected costs. Still want to surf? You can with the Global Data Pass, which gives you mobile internet access in many countries outside the EU.

## SOS: top up your prepaid card

### How do I top up my prepaid card?

If you think something went wrong during your top-up (for example, if you suspect the money was deducted but not added to your SIM), please [contact the helpdesk](https://mobilevikings.be/en/support#contact) before making a second payment. This way, you can avoid doing two top-ups on the same day.

### How do I activate SMS top-up or automatic top-up?

You can set this up via your [My Viking](https://mobilevikings.be/en/my-viking/account/payment-methods) account. You can choose an existing payment method or add a new one. If you're adding a new payment method, you’ll need to choose either Visa, Mastercard, or direct debit.

- If you choose **Visa/Mastercard**, you’ll need your card reader and the card itself to confirm the method.

- If you choose **direct debit**, you’ll fill out a mandate that we’ll send to your bank. It can take up to 10 working days for your bank to approve the mandate.

Once your payment method is activated, you can top up automatically or by sending an SMS with the message SIM TOPUP to 1984.

**Note**:

- SMS top-up always uses your preset amount and focus bundle. You can [update](https://mobilevikings.be/en/my-viking/account/payment-methods) these settings anytime in your payment methods.

- The very first top-up for a new SIM card must be done manually via Bancontact. After that, your SIM card is fully activated and you can use your chosen payment method.

### I accidentally topped up twice. What should I do?

### How can I add extra data to my top-up?

Easy. With every top-up, you have the option to purchase an extra data bundle. You can add as many extra bundles as you want. Each extra data bundle is valid for 1 month after purchase, the same as the other bundles from your top-up.

You can only add extra data with a standard top-up, not with an ‘Only Data’ top-up or a subscription.

## Changing your subscription

- You can always change your subscription via [My Viking](https://mobilevikings.be/nl/my-viking/sims/settings), under ‘product settings’, as soon as your SIM card is active.

- Wait until the end of your bundle period? That’s the smartest choice if you still have enough data or call minutes left, it lets you get the most out of your current plan.

- Switch immediately? Perfect if you need more data or call minutes right away. Your new plan will start immediately, and your billing date might shift slightly. From then on, your subscription will renew on this new date.

### Can I add extra data to my subscription?

We don’t offer an add-on package to add extra mobile data to your subscription. However, there’s the Viking Clan. By forming a clan with your friends, you can earn up to 4 GB of extra data per month. Another way to get extra data is by renewing your subscription. This gives you new bundles immediately and basically starts a new month, which will be reflected on your invoice. From then on, your bundle will renew monthly on the new date. For example, if you renew on February 26, your future bundles will renew on March 26, April 26, and so on.

### I accidentally chose the wrong price plan for my subscription. What now?

At the moment, it is **not possible to cancel a price plan change once it has been chosen**. Please note that you do not have two recurring subscriptions: only the bundles of the subscription you changed are renewed and the previous subscription bundles expire at the end of the bundle period.

**TIP:**

If you still have plenty of data and/or calling minutes left, it is best to select the option at the end of the current bundle period. If you need more data and/or calling minutes, you can start the new subscription immediately. 

Only the bundles with the latest start date will be renewed.

For example:

My current bundles start on the 8th of the month. I renew or change my subscription on the 28th. The old bundles will remain active until the 8th of the next month, but will not be renewed. The subscription will continue from the 28th forward, with the 28th being the new renewal date. 

### I've changed my subscription. Now I have two data bundles, what do I do?

Don't worry, this is perfectly normal and only temporary. If you switch immediately, you will keep the remaining bundles from the previous subscription, which you use first. Moreover, you will also get the new data bundle and/or extra call bundles. 

**TIP:** 

Only the bundles with the latest start date will be renewed. **For example:** 

My current bundles start on the 8th of the month. I renew or change my subscription on the 28th. The old bundles will remain active until the 8th of the next month, but will not be renewed. The subscription will continue from the 28th forward, with the 28th being the new renewal date. 

## Need a quick break?

Unfortunately, you can’t temporarily pause your subscription. If you’re unable to use your subscription for a certain period, we recommend switching to a prepaid card. Note: you must top it up at least once a year and verify your SIM card via a payment.

## Still want to cancel your subscription or prepaid card?

### Subscription

If you want to keep your number, your new provider will handle everything. You don’t need to cancel anything with us yourself. Want to completely deactivate or remove your number? You can easily do so via your [My Viking account](https://mobilevikings.be/en/my-viking/sims/settings) by selecting ‘cancel your phone number’ at the bottom. Your number will be deactivated after the current bundle period ends.

**Note:** You’ll receive one last bill if there’s still an outstanding balance. Otherwise, you’ll only pay for any out-of-bundle usage.

### Prepaid card

Paying a lot but not getting enough in return? Then a prepaid card might not be ideal. A subscription could be more cost-effective. Check out your options [here](https://mobilevikings.be/en/offer/subscriptions/)!

Do you want to cancel your prepaid card? Just stop topping it up: your number will then automatically expire. Want to deactivate it immediately? Contact our [helpdesk](https://mobilevikings.be/en/support#contact).

**Please note:**

- A refund is only possible if you immediately transfer your number to another operator.

- Free bundles are not refunded.

- An administrative fee of € 5 will be charged for processing the refund.

- You have up to one month after the transfer to request your refund.

- Remaining credit cannot be transferred to another Mobile Vikings number.

## Frequently asked questions

### How long are my call credit and bonus bundles valid?

Your bonus bundle (data bundle, SMS bundle, and Viking advantage) is valid for 1 calendar month from the moment you top up. For example, if you top up on 8/05 at 12:35, your bundle remains valid until 8/06 at 12:35.

Your call credit can be used for calling and is valid for 6 months.

If you still have unused call credit, it will carry over to the next month and be added to your new top-up. However, that credit will still expire 6 months after it was originally added.

### How does unlimited calling work?

At Mobile Vikings an unlimited calling bundle means you have unlimited calls to

- all Belgian numbers (fixed or mobile) when you yourself are in Belgium or another EU country.

**You will pay for calls**

- to [premium numbers](https://support.mobilevikings.be/hc/en-us/articles/202839221-Wat-betekent-de-rubriek-premium-usage-in-mijn-verbruiksoverzicht-)

- when you yourself are NOT in a EU country. Please consult our [roaming rates](https://mobilevikings.be/en/abroad/).

- to foreign numbers. Please consult our [international rates](https://mobilevikings.be/en/abroad/).

**Good to know:**

Our rates are intended for normal private use. We allow pretty intensive use, but we _will_ be alerted if you:

- Call more than 6 hours per day or 30 hours per week regularly;

- Regularly start calls which go on for more than 3 consecutive hours, or if you keep calling people right after one call has ended.

### How can I check my remaining call credit?

You can check your remaining call credit in several ways:

- Through your My Viking account, where you can also view your mobile data, SMS usage, and free call minutes.

- Via the Mobile Vikings app for a real-time overview of your usage.

- By sending a free SMS with the word "CONSULT" to 1984.

### How can I cancel a plan for someone who has passed away?

To cancel a mobile subscription or prepaid card for someone who has passed away, we unfortunately require an official death certificate.

You can request this from the local government where the deceased was registered. Once you have the certificate, please send a scanned copy to [our helpdesk](https://mobilevikings.be/en/support#contact).

### What will trigger an automatic top-up?

As soon as a payment method has been configured **via your** [**My Viking account**](https://mobilevikings.be/en/my-viking/account/payment-methods)**,** you can indicate the conditions to trigger the automatic top-up of your calling credit. Select one of the following:

- **Minimum calling credit**: your SIM card will be topped up automatically when your credit drops below e.g. € 5 or € 10.

- The **expiry date of your bundle** with Viking advantages, the free texts, and data: your SIM card will be topped up automatically a couple of hours before your free bundle expires (i.e. 1 calendar month after your last top-up).

- The **minimum amount of mobile data**: if you have almost no mobile data left, your SIM card will be topped up automatically within a couple of hours. Your automatic top-up will be triggered when your data credit drops below 100 MB.

Do you have an old data-only SIM card (which means you top up for € 12)? Your automatic top-up will be triggered when your 2GB bundle expires. This type of SIM card is no longer available.
