# Business for employees

Employee? Find all your answers here!

## Employer

Are you responsible for Mobile Vikings subscriptions within your company? On the page for employers, you will find all information about our business subscriptions and the management of your employees' accounts.

[Business for Employers](https://mobilevikings.be/en/support/business)

## How your business account works as an employee

- Via Mobile Vikings for Business, your employer offers you a business mobile subscription. You become - or remain ;-) - a Viking, with your own account. This means you can also become a member of a Viking Clan, use Viking Deals, or take a private internet subscription yourself. Because this is not offered in the business offer.

- Your employer chooses a customized price plan, but unless you receive a € 30 subscription, you are always allowed to upgrade to a higher plan at your own expense. You pay the difference in price yourself.

- Costs outside your bundle, such as SMS parking or De Lijn tickets, are normally charged personally, unless your employer provides a monthly allowance for these expenses.

## Activation & Viking benefits

### Activation

Activating your Business subscription starts with an email invitation from your employer. Click the button in that email and follow the steps on the website to activate your subscription.

Your employer proposes a price plan, but you have the option to choose a more expensive plan; you will pay the price difference yourself (unless you already receive a €30 subscription). Costs outside your bundle, such as SMS parking or De Lijn tickets, are normally charged to you personally, unless your employer provides a monthly allowance for these expenses.

### Viking benefits

If you are already a Viking, nothing changes to your account after acceptance. You can continue using Viking Deals to earn Viking Points. Your Viking Points are retained and can be used to pay for personal out-of-bundle costs, for example SMS parking or De Lijn tickets. These costs are charged to your own account, not to your employer.

Regarding your Viking Clan, nothing changes either: you remain a member if you already were one, or you can choose to become a member. More information about the Viking Clan can be found on [this page](https://mobilevikings.be/fr/viking-clan/).

## Managing your price plan

### Adjusting your price plan

You can switch price plans at any time, either yourself or after your employer adjusts their contribution. Below you can read when it is best to switch, and what your price will be if your employer increases or decreases their contribution.

### Your employer adjusts your price plan

As soon as your employer increases or decreases the employer’s contribution, you will receive an email. The basic rule is simple: you pay the difference between your price plan and your employer’s contribution yourself. You can never choose a plan that is lower than your employer’s proposal.

## Your personal bill

Normally, your billing is handled entirely by your employer. However, in a few specific situations, you as an employee will receive a monthly bill directly. Below you can read when this applies, how you can pay, and what happens if payment is not made on time.

### When you pay

You will receive a monthly bill yourself as an employee in three situations:

- You chose a higher price plan than the one offered by your employer. In that case, you pay the monthly difference between your plan and your employer’s contribution.

- You incur out-of-bundle costs, such as SMS parking, international calls, or premium services like De Lijn tickets. These costs are always charged to your personal account and are only billed when they are used.

- Your employer has terminated their Business account. You keep your subscription and phone number, but from that point on, the full subscription fee is billed directly to you.

### Out-of-bundle costs

Your employer can set up a monthly allowance for you that fully or partially covers your out-of-bundle costs. Is your usage higher than that allowance? Then the difference is for your account.

[What are out-of-bundle costs?](https://mobilevikings.be/en/support/out-of-bundle-costs)

### Viking Points

You can simply pay your personal bill with Viking Points, whether it concerns the price difference on your price plan or out-of-bundle costs.

[What are Viking Points?](https://mobilevikings.be/en/support/viking-points)

### Not paid on time?

You will receive two reminders from us: one two days before the due date and one on the due date itself. If payment is not made, your subscription will first be switched to minimum services and reminder costs will be added. At that point, you will no longer be able to call, text, or use mobile data, but you can still call emergency services and receive calls and messages. If payment is still not received afterwards, your subscription will be permanently terminated.

### Employer’s invoice

If that invoice is overdue, we will send your employer two reminders: one two days before the due date and one on the due date itself. At that stage, nothing changes for you as an employee.

## If the contribution stops

If your employer stops contributing to your subscription, you choose what happens to your subscription and your number. How you specifically arrange this depends on the type of management your employer has.

**Tab: Full management**

Your employer manages your number directly from their My Business account. You have two options:

- **You keep your subscription and number.** The full subscription fee will from now on be billed to you. Let your employer know that you want to keep it, so they do not terminate the number.

- **You terminate your subscription.** Your employer will terminate the number for you; you do not need to take any action yourself. If you prefer to port your number to another operator, you should coordinate this with your employer.

**Tab: Shared Management**

Your employer stops the contribution, but you manage your number yourself via your My Viking account. You have two options:

- **You keep your subscription and number.** The full subscription fee will from now on be billed to you. You can make any adjustments yourself in your My Viking account.

- **You terminate your subscription.** Close the number yourself in your My Viking account, or transfer it to another operator. There are no additional costs associated with this.

**Tab: Important**

If the termination is not completed, your subscription will continue and you will receive the invoice. If you are unsure which type of management applies in your case, please ask your employer.

## When is the best time to switch?

You can switch at any time, but depending on when your bundles were renewed, your billing may look different. You have two options:

**Immediately**

This is always possible, but:

- You may receive a one-time charge for activating your new price plan.

- Your new price plan may not be immediately visible on your next bill.

- The employer’s contribution is not always applied immediately, depending on your bundle date.

**Examples**

- You received your bundles before the 28th of last month: the employer’s contribution applies immediately to your new plan.

- You received your bundles after the 28th of last month and you switch before the 29th: your new plan is active, but the employer’s contribution is not applied once.

- You switch on the 29th, 30th, or 31st:

- - If you have not yet received new bundles, the contribution applies immediately.

    - If you have already received bundles, the contribution will only be applied the following month.

**With your next bundle renewal, the clearest option.**

Your new price plan starts from your next bundle renewal and automatically appears on the corresponding invoice. The exact date can be found in your [My Viking-account](https://mobilevikings.be/fr/my-viking/products-overview).

Note: If you choose a price plan that is higher than what your employer proposes, you will personally receive a charge for the price difference.

## Employer increases price plan

If your employer increases the employer's contribution, we will inform you by email. As an employee, you then have three options, depending on your current price plan:

- **You are on a lower or the same price as the new proposal.**

- - You simply switch to the new proposed price plan. Example: Your employer first proposed € 15. Now they increase the contribution to € 20.

    - Were you on € 15? Then you can switch to € 20 for free. You pay nothing extra.

- **You are already on the new price plan**

You are currently paying extra, but this will no longer be necessary soon. Example: Your employer first proposed € 15. You then chose € 20 yourself and paid € 5 extra every month. Now your employer increases their contribution to € 20. You can:

- stay on € 20 → you no longer pay anything extra

- upgrade to € 30 → you only pay € 9 extra

- **You are on a higher price plan than the new proposal**

You simply remain on your current plan or switch to the lower proposed one.

- Example: Your employer first proposed € 15. You chose € 30 and paid € 14 extra. Now your employer increases their contribution to € 20.

- You can:

- - stay on € 30 → you will still pay € 9 extra

    - switch to € 20 → then you no longer pay anything extra

## Employer decreases price plan

If your employer decreases the employer's contribution, we will inform you by email. As an employee, you then have three options, depending on your current price plan:

- **You switch to the new lower price plan**

You follow the steps in the email and activate the price plan your employer is now proposing.

- - Example: Your employer lowers the contribution from € 20 to € 15. You activate the new € 15 price plan → you pay nothing extra.

- **You keep the price plan your employer proposed earlier**

You choose not to decrease the price, but stay on your current plan.

- - Example: Your price plan is € 30, as previously proposed by your employer. Your employer lowers the contribution to € 20.

    - You can:

    - - stay on € 30 → you now pay € 9 yourself extra[1](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_8re2U4N3QQxyKBjVhk6QvyeJWFdktKXJz-S-OI22y8/edit)

        - switch to € 20 → you pay nothing extra[1](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_8re2U4N3QQxyKBjVhk6QvyeJWFdktKXJz-S-OI22y8/edit)

- **You remain on a higher price plan than the proposed one**

You were already paying extra, and that amount now increases.

- - Example: Your employer first proposed € 20. You chose € 30 and paid € 9 extra. Your employer now lowers the contribution to € 15.[1](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_8re2U4N3QQxyKBjVhk6QvyeJWFdktKXJz-S-OI22y8/edit)

    - You can:

    - - stay on € 30 → you will now pay € 14 extra

        - switch to € 20 → you pay € 5 extra

        - switch to € 15 → you pay nothing extra
